Police investigation launched after woman's body pulled from pond

A woman's body has been found in a pond.

Kent Police were called amid concern for the welfare of a person seen in the water just before 4pm on Tuesday.

Officers and paramedics attended the scene at Eureka Park in Ashford, where a woman's body was recovered.

A police spokesman said: "Officers and South East Coast Ambulance Service (Secamb) are currently attending the scene in Eureka Park, Ashford. A woman's body has been recovered from the water.

"Inquiries into the circumstances are ongoing."
