A paranoid drug dealer who thought there was someone in his attic called the cops, who arrived and discovered his stash.

According to Cornwall Live the cannabis dealer called police to his house in the county last year when he thought he heard someone in his attic.

The police arrived and while they found no intruder they did discover 127 grams of cannabis and around €830 in cash.

The man was arrested and he pleaded guilty in court this week to possessing cannabis with intent to supply.

A previous hearing heard that the man had a drug habit and one of the side effects of that was paranoia.

At the sentencing hearing Judge Simon Carr said: "Anyone who calls the police to a house where they are storing drugs clearly has a problem."

The man was sentenced to four months, suspended for two years, as well as 200 hours of community service.
