Paramedic on trial charged with stealing James Gandolfini’s Rolex watch
An Italian paramedic has gone on trial for allegedly stealing a $3,000 Rolex Watch from The Sopranos star James Gandolfini as he lay dying from a heart attack.
Claudio Bevilacqua is accused of nabbing the watch as the actor fought for his life after collapsing at the Boscolo Luxury Hotel Exedra in Rome in June 2013.
Prosecutors claim that the hotel’s security team had noticed Mr Gandolfini’s watch had vanished and his family reported it stolen in an insurance form.
The trial is due to start in November and Bevilacqua is yet to enter a plea.
