A drunken exhibitionist has avoided jail for exposure and sexual assault after he pushed pool balls up his bum and waved his willy at staff in a pub in Bristol, UK.

32-year-old Simon Coleman pulled out his penis in a bar and waved it close to a pub worker who told him to put his member away.

He then pulled off his pants, squatted on the pool table and attempted to stuff pool balls up his back-side.

Coleman told police it was just 'boys' banter' and ended up being charged with admitted exposure and sexual assault.

He also pleaded guilty to stealing a bottle of whisky and running into a local amateur football club with his trousers down and penis exposed.

Bristol Crown Court heard that Coleman had assaulted his girlfriend, who he met in rehab,  a few months after the incident.

Despite this he was given a two-year suspended sentence, 18-months supervision and 100 hours of unpaid work.

"Do not come back in front of me because if you do you will not be going back through that door - you will be going downstairs,” said Judge Martin Picton.

Addiction recovery specialist Mark Styles told the court that Coleman's drug problems started when he was 12-years-old.

"He's been living this lifestyle for 20 odd years, he felt ashamed of it and wanted to stop, but acknowledged he could not by himself.

"I knew from the outset that this is a man who is utterly fed up with his despicable behaviour.

"He has a great deal of remorse for the anguish he out his victims through, but I believe there is a genuine desire to turn his life around."
