A shocked mother has shared images of her 16-year-old son after he was viciously attacked by an eight man gang armed with metal poles and hammers.

Nicki Rogers, from Kent, UK said her son Harry Diamond was beaten so badly that the attackers managed to snap two hammers on him.

Harry was reportedly struck six times over the head while also being repeatedly bashed with a metal pole.

The teen was hospitalised following the attack and police are investigating the incident

Mum Nicki told the Kent and Sussex Courier : "We will find out who did this.

"We just want Harry to get well and he is currently making a very speedy recovery.

Detective Chief Inspector Neill Parker said: "Incidents of this nature are very rare in Tonbridge, but any violence on our streets will not be tolerated.

"We are carrying out a number of enquiries including reviewing CCTV and if you have any information that can help us please get in touch."

No-one has been arrested and enquiries are ongoing.
