A 25-year-old man who proposed to his girlfriend over the Walmart PA system was allegedly caught robbing sex toys after the engagement.

William Cornelius received a round of applause as he proposed to Sheri Moore with a €25 ring at the supermarket.

However, the couple were arrested shortly afterwards for allegedly going on a sex toy shoplifting spree in Bay City, Michigan, US.

According to police, the pair went to nearby Spencer's gift store where they are accused of taking a 'Bride-To-Be' thong, a vibrator, 'BJ Blast' oral sex candy, and a edible thong, the Smoking Gun reports.

The groom-to-be was busted after he fell asleep tying his shoe in the mall’s food court. He told cops that he was on the pain reliever Tramadol, which made him brash enough to steal the sexy supplies.

Cornelius was arrested on suspicion of retail fraud, while Moore was held for larceny.

They were both released on bond.
