A man who was on his way to meet a 14-year-old schoolgirl was found by police to have an arsenal of weapons and a ‘kidnap kit’ in his car.

23-year-old Patrick Brezovsky had an axe, a canister of CS gas, two flick knives, a balaclava, duct tape, a stab vest, blue flashing emergency services lights and condoms when he was arrested in Exeter, UK.

He had messaged a girl who he had groomed on Facebook saying he wanted to have sex with her and arranged to meet with her at a bus station.

Luckily the girl had told a friend who informed her mother and police were contacted.

Police arrived at the scene and immediately arrested Brezovsky, who had been taken into custody five months earlier when he was caught with two teenage girls in his car after persuading them to run away from home.

This week he was jailed for four years and six months at Exeter Crown Court after pleading guilty to meeting a child after grooming and five offences of possessing bladed articles or prohibited weapons.

According to his defence solicitor the knives were gifts for people, the axe was a present from his dad, the balaclava was to scare friends, the stab vest was to protect him from the homeless as he worked nights in a car park he had also forgotten about the CS gas.

Tights found in the car were left by a girlfriend and the duct tape and gloves were ‘just things he kept in the car, according to his solicitor.
