A disgraced doctor has been arrested after a patient was left with a mutilated stump for a penis following a botched surgery.

60-year-old Mark Schreiber was arrested last week on one count of unlicensed practice of health care causing serious injury.

His 55-year-old patient, who works as a hair stylist, told police that he was mutilated by the bogus doctor and could no longer have sex.

"The victim's penis was now incredibly small, yet very swollen and the skin around the shaft had been removed and was raw," police said in a warrant.

Scriber, who used to operate out of the Plastic Surgery Art Centre in Boynton Beach, Florida, lost his medical license seven years ago.

He pleaded guilty to practising medicine without a license in 2008 and was jailed until 2010, according to the Sun Sentinel.

In January Scriber allegedly took $1,000 to remove “filler” which was injected into a man’s penis to make it look larger.

The warrant said that the patient’s penis had "retracted so far that it protruded less than one inch from his body".

The victim has no sensation during urination and suffers from painful "spontaneous erections," he told police.

He claims to have woken up the morning after his surgery to find his penis soaking in bloody bandages.

Scriber allegedly told him that his bleeding penis was normal, telling him to "just put two sticks (on) either side" of the penis and "wrap it up to keep it straight,", the warrant states.

Police are also looking for the man who injected the filler into the penis in the first place, 48-year-old Nery Carvajal Gonzalez, who faces charges of practising medicine without a license.
