Man jailed for two years for licking woman's backside while she slept
A man who claimed he was 'following voices' before breaking into a house and licking a woman's backside has been jailed for two years in Australia.
The Sydney Morning Herald reports on the trial of Joseph Taouk, who was facing charges of sexual assault and breaking and entering in a New South Wales court this week.
The court heard the victim in the case describe waking at 3.30am to find a man holding her backside and licking her anus.
She turned around to see a strange man kneeling beside the bed before waking her boyfriend, who was asleep in bed beside her.
Her boyfriend said "What the f---. Who are you?," before throwing the man out of the house.
In her victim impact statement the woman described the attack as 'her worst nightmare' and 'life changing'.
Taouk, who was caught thanks to CCTV and DNA evidence found in the house apologised in a statement and claimed that he was 'delusional' and 'following voices' at the time of the incident due to mental illness.
The 35-year-old was jailed for a minimum of two years.
