A 24-year-old man was found ‘making a nuisance’ while nude in a Homebase carpark at 8:30am on a Tuesday by police.

Upon approaching the man, identified at Joshua Hare, at the DIY superstore, officers from Swindon, UK, noticed a package ‘emerge’ from the naked man’s foreskin.

Following tests this was confirmed to be 7.2 grams of cocaine.

There was a struggle between officers and Mr Hare, who had been shouting in the carpark, before he was taken to hospital.

On Tuesday at Swindon Magistrates' Court, Hare pleaded guilty to being in possession of 7.2 grams of cocaine on June 17, according to reports in the Swindon Advertiser.

He also faced charges of failing to surrender to bail, which he admitted.

The judge heard that Hare was “last in court in May for aggravated taking of a vehicle without consent and was given a suspended sentence.”

Hare, who is homeless, is said to have “troubled background”, a problem with alcohol and drugs and mental health issues.

The court heard that Hare was in intensive care after he fell ill with kidney issues in police custody earlier this year.

“Dealing first of all with the breach of the suspended sentence order we feel you have left us with no option and we must activate the prison sentence. It will be activated for 12 weeks," said Bench chairman Mary Holland.

For the possession of a Class A drug Hare was ordered to spend one week in custody which he will serve alongside the 12 weeks.

He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge if £115.
