Unaccompanied learner driver with no plates caught driving at dangerous speeds
Gardai stopped a young driver who was travelling at almost 160 kilometres per hour in Limerick yesterday.
A learner driver was stopped by gardai yesterday in Limerick after clocking up speeds of 159kph.
Gardai shared a photo of the offending speedometer on Twitter today:

The driver in question had no tax, no insurance and did not have learner plates up on the car.
The driver was also without company in the vehicle.
The car was impounded, while the driver will be issued with a court summons.
