Driver who collided with toddler shot dead

The driver of a car which struck and killed a toddler in Milwaukee has been shot dead at the scene of the accident. A 15-year-old boy was also shot and died later.

Police captain Timothy Heier said the car accident happened at 5.10pm local time yesterday after the two-year-old child ran into the street.

The driver, 41-year-old Archie Brown Jr. fatally hit the 2-year-old child who darted into the street, police said.

Brown stayed at the scene and was shot in the head by a gunman, according to Brown’s father.

He died at the scene, said Captain Heier.

The killer, who was on the loose Sunday night, also fatally shot a 15-year-old boy who was at the scene, police said.

Heier said the boy died at a hospital during surgery.

The two year old and the man were pronounced dead at the scene and the teenager died later during surgery at a hospital.

Police said no suspects were currently in custody.
