Cops search for two men after sledgehammer attack on unmarked car
Detectives are searching for two men after a sledgehammer attack on an unmarked police car.
Craig Cox, 27, and Michael Martin, 30, are wanted in connection with the incident on October 14 in Handforth, Cheshire, in which an unmarked police car was attacked with a sledgehammer when officers attempted to stop a black Audi S3.
After attacking the police car the four occupants of the Audi drove away from the scene and the car was later found abandoned.
Two men have already been charged following the attack.
Investigating officer Detective Inspector Claire Jesson said: "Thankfully, no officers were injured as a result of the incident. However, they were left extremely shocked and I believe that these two men pose a danger to our communities."
Cox is described as about 5ft 6in, muscular, with cropped/shaved brown hair and brown eyes. His last known address was in the Lower Kersal area of Salford.
Martin is described as 5ft 5in, also muscular, with short brown hair and blue eyes. His last known address was in the Higher Broughton area of Salford.
