A newly wed in Russia faces a long spell behind bars after murdering her new husband after he used his ex-wife's name during sex.

Svetlana Ilvina now faces life in prison after the incident, according to the Mirror.

The report states that Svetlana's new hubby Anatoly accidentally called out the name of his ex-wife, Olga, during sex.

This resulted in a ferocious row between the newly married pair and despite repeated apologies from Anatoly, Svetlana refused to accept any of them.

Instead, she waited until her husband went to sleep before stabbing him to death. Then she called the police to hand herself in.

The paper quote a police spokesperson who said: "The couple had only been together three months and when the victim called his wife Olga, which is the name of his former wife, she decided she couldn't forgive him."
