A book penned by a multi-millionaire, pig farming serial killer who fed his victims to his animals, has been banned just hours after going on sale.

Robert Pickton from British Columbia, Canada, was convicted of murdering six women in 2007, with charges relating to a further 20 deaths.

The prosecution alleged he may have killed up to 49 women and thirty-nine bodies were found at the farm in total.

He was jailed for life with no chance of parole for 25-years.

The book, which was smuggled out of prison, is titled Pickton: In His Own Words and is on Amazon.

Officials had vowed not to allow the killed to profit from his time in jail by releasing the book, forcing the serial killer to get the manuscript out of prison with the help of another inmate.

In the book Pickson is said to proclaim his innocence, claiming to have been set up by the police.

Amazon has been asked to withdraw the book.
