14-year-old girl to be sentenced for punching elderly woman on bus
A 14-year-old girl is due in court today to be sentenced for punching an elderly bus passenger.
The defendant, who cannot be named because of her age, last month admitted assaulting the 87-year-old woman as they travelled on the 166 bus through Croydon in south London.
The victim was left with a black eye and had to be taken to St Helier Hospital for treatment.
Most of the passengers left the bus after some young passengers began arguing with the driver at about 3.20pm on Friday October 16.
The defendant is due to be sentenced at Croydon Youth Court today.
