A 41-YEAR-OLD Dublin woman charged with stalking 98fm presenter Jeremy Dixon has been remanded on continuing bail pending directions from the DPP.

Geraldine Delahunty with an address at Convent Lawns, Kylemore Road, Ballyfermot appeared before Judge Michael Walsh at Dublin District Court today.

She faces a single count contrary to section 10 of the Non Fatal Offences Against the Person Act for alleged harassment of Dublin Talks co-host Jeremy Dixon from August 4th, 2014, until January 16th last year.

The court heard that directions from the DPP were not yet available and the State were seeking further time. The investigation file was received earlier this months, a solicitor for the DPP said.

Defence solicitor Michael Kelleher told the court the woman had been expecting that they would be available. Judge Walsh agreed to grant the State a four-week adjournment but warned that he expected the DPP's directions to be ready when the case resumes.

There was no objection to bail.

Mr Dixon was also present sitting in the front row of the public gallery during the hearing.

Earlier, Garda Steven Homan had told Judge Walsh that the woman made no reply when the charge was put to her. The woman, who did not address the court, has not entered a plea to the charge.

Judge Walsh had asked if there was any relationship between the defendant and the complainant and the garda said that there was not. At her first hearing in December, the judge had also acceded to a request from defence solicitor Michael Kelleher to grant free legal aid to the defendant who is unemployed.

The offence, at district court level, can result in a fine and a sentence of up to twelve months.

Jeremy Dixon (40) presents “Dublin Talks” from 10am to 12 mid-day each weekday with Adrian Kennedy on 98FM, with nightly repeats at 10pm. They joined the station earlier this year after leaving FM104’s Phone Show, which they had presented together for 16 years. Dixon is also well known for his DJ work at nightclubs.
