THREE men charged over a €1m cannabis seizure in Dublin in June have been remanded on continuing bail pending directions from the DPP.

They had been arrested following a joint investigation by the Garda Organised Crime Bureau and the Revenue Customs Service.

Father-of-three, Gavin Mulvey, 34, with an address at Kiltalown Road, Tallaght, Jonathan Carberry, 34, from Marfield Green also in Tallaght and Elliot Kidd, 24, from Mabel St in Dublin 3 were charged with possessing cannabis with intent to supply at Bath Lane in the city-centre on June 11th.

Conditional bail had been granted earlier and they appeared again before Judge Anthony Halpin at Dublin District Court today.

The judge adjourned the case until a date in November to allow time for directions from the DPP to be obtained.

The court has heard Mr Kidd and Mr Mulvey made no reply when charged and Mr Carberry's response was “no comment”. Det Gda Rebecca Daly has said the case involved a considerable seizure that was estimated to be worth about €1m.

All three have been ordered to surrender their passports.
