Three Dublin men face trial for Drimnagh arson attack
THREE Dublin men have been served with books of evidence and sent forward for trial accused of taking part in an arson attack at a house in the city almost four years ago.
Ciaran Kenny (20) of Lourdes Road, Maryland, Casey Humphrey (21) with an address at Morning Star Avenue, and Gavin Quinn (21) from Keeper Road, in Drimnagh appeared at the Dublin Children's Court yesterday.
They were juveniles at the time of the alleged incident but had reached adulthood by the time they were charged with arson at a house on Sperrin Road, in Drimnagh on January 16, 2012.
They have not yet indicated how they will plead and DPP directed they should be tried on indictment.
After they were served with books of evidence yesterday Judge John O'Connor said they were being returned for trial to appear at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court on December 4th next. Bail has been granted to the three men on condition they stay away from the location of the alleged arson.
