Teenager admits to killing of Lorcan O'Reilly in Dublin city centre
A TEENAGE boy has admitted stabbing 21-year-old Lorcan O'Reilly to death following a Halloween bonfire.
The 16-year-old, who cannot be identified because of his age, had originally been charged with Mr O'Reilly's murder and a trial date had been set.
At an arraignment hearing at the Central Criminal Court today, the accused pleaded not guilty to murder but guilty to Mr O'Reilly's manslaughter inside the Oliver Bond flats complex in Dublin during the early hours of November 1, 2015.
His plea was accepted by the prosecution.
The accused was 14 at the time of the killing.
