A DUBLIN teenager has appeared in court charged with stealing hair restoration tablets for women.

The 17-year-old boy is accused of theft of the tablets worth 100 from Boots on Henry Street in Dublin city-centre on June 9 last.

He made no reply when charged, the Dublin Children's Court heard.

The boy, who was accompanied to court by his father, has not yet entered a plea and was remanded on bail by Judge Alan Mitchell to appear again later this month.

The judge also ordered disclosure of prosecution evidence, including CCTV footage, to be furnished to the boy's lawyer.
