Man to appear before court charged with killing woman seven years ago
A Derry man will go on trial next week charged with murdering a woman over seven years ago.
Stephen Cahoon (42) with a last address at Harvey Street, Derry, Northern Ireland, was arraigned before the Central Criminal Court today.
Dressed in a white shirt and black fleece, he pleaded not guilty to murdering Jean Teresa Quigley (30) at Cornshell fields in Derry on July 26th, 2008.
A jury of eight men and four women was sworn in to hear the trial, which Ms Justice Deirdre Murphy said will begin on Monday or Tuesday next week and is expected to last two weeks.
