Man charged with Sunset House murder returned for trial in Special Criminal Court
A Dublin man accused of the murder of Michael Barr last April has been returned for trial to the Special Criminal Court.
Eamonn Cumberton (29) of Mountjoy Street, Dublin 7, is charged with the murder of 35-year old Mr Barr in the Sunset House pub in Dublin’s north inner city on April 25th last.
The Special Criminal Court heard today/yesterday (Mon) that the State was making an application to try the accused man at the three-judge, non-jury court.
Mr Justice Tony Hunt, presiding with Judge Martin Nolan and Judge Cormac Dunne, made the order, directing that Mr Cumberton be tried before the Special Criminal Court.
