Man attacked for his headphones

A 17-YEAR-OLD Dublin boy is facing trial accused of attacking a man for his headphones.

The teenager, who cannot be named because he is a juvenile, is charged with robbery and assaulting the man at the South Circular Road in Dublin on March 27 last

Judge John O'Connor remanded the boy to appear again at the Dublin Children's Court on a date in November when he will be expected to enter a plea.

The juvenile court heard it was alleged the man had been approached by two males who tried to grab his headphones after which he was struck on the side of his face.

The boy, who was accompanied to court bys his mother and his solicitor, was aged 16 at the time.
