A man has appeared in court following the seizure of drugs and false passports at a property in Dublin.

Patrick Hyacinth appeared before the Dublin District Court this morning after gardaí searched a house in Moore Street, Dublin, and discovered crack cocaine with a street value of €3,000.

Officers from Store Street Garda Station also seized two false passports during the search on Wednesday.

In a follow up search in south Dublin, some 1.6kg of what is understood to be cocaine - along with mixing agents, scales and cash - was recovered.

These drugs have an estimated street value of €112,000.

The court heard that Hyacinth made no reply after each charge.

He was remanded and is due to appear in Cloverhill District Court later this month.
