Male bank worker accused of orally and anally raping young man
A male bank worker who is accused of repeatedly raping a young man has appeared at Tallaght District Court.
The accused, who is aged in his 30s, said “it’s not true” then the charges were read to him.
It is alleged he had oral and anal sex with the male victim on dates between July 2003 and June 2006.
The man faces a staggering 32 counts of oral and anal rape.
Judge Bridget Reilly remanded him on bail to appear before the court in November for the service of the book of evidence.
The accused, who had to surrender his passport, has been ordered to stay away from the alleged victim and must not make any effort to leave the country.
He must also sign on at his local garda station.
The DPP has directed trial in the Central Criminal Court on the charges.
