Karen Buckley murder-accused due to appear in court
A 21-year-old man arrested in connection with the murder of Irish student Karen Buckley is due to appear in court today.
Alexander Pacteau has been charged in connection with Buckley's murder earlier this year.
The young Irish student went missing on a night out with her friends in Glasgow in April.
Karen, from Mourneabbey in north Cork, went missing shortly after leaving Sanctuary nightclub in the early hours of April 12.
A major search was launched and her body was discovered four days later on High Craigton Farm on the outskirts of the city.
Pacteau was formally arrested and charged with her murder following the grisly discovery.
He is expected to lodge a plea to the murder charge this morning.
A guilty plea would mean a mandatory life sentence.
