Man arrested after female judge seriously assaulted in Dublin Family Court
A man has been arrested after a female judge was attacked earlier today during a court sitting.
It is understood that the man was arrested by gardai after a “incident of a violent nature” unfolded in the Dolphin House family law court in Dublin shortly before lunch time.
It is understood that Judge Miriam Walsh was taken away in an ambulance.
A spokesperson for the Courts Service confirmed that an incident did occur but that gardai stationed there intervened quickly.
He also said that there is a security system in place and that it was “brought into operation”.
Her injuries are not believed to be serious, and she has since been discharged from hospital.
