Hungarian national pleads not guilty to murder

A Hungarian man has pleaded not guilty to murdering a 20-year-old man in Co Kildare nearly two years ago.

Zoltan Almasi (44) with an address at Harbour View, Naas, Co. Kildare is charged with murdering Joseph Dunne at the same address on May 16 2014.

Today at the Central Criminal Court Mr Almasi pleaded not guilty to murdering Mr Dunne.

This morning Mr Justice Patrick McCarthy told the jury of six men and six women that it was not possible to start this trial until Wednesday and it would be before Ms Justice Margaret Heneghan.

"The case should finish by the end of next week but you may also be required for the first few days of the following week," said the judge
