Court hears Wall Street banker raped Irish girl

A court heard today that an ex-Goldman Sachs banker raped an Irish student because he was determined to have sex on his birthday.

It is alleged that in August 2013, 38-year-old Jason Lee broke through a bathroom door while naked and raped a then 20-year-old Irish student at the home he had rented with his wife in East Hampton, US.

The court heard that Lee told the girl to “shut the f*** up” and that he put his hand over her mouth so hard that she could not even bite him.

The assault ended when the girl kneed him in the groin and staggered out in such a ‘hysterical’ state she was unable to speak.

Police were called and when they arrived Mr Lee approached the officer and said “We're good, you can go. We don't need you. We have got this under control”, before the girl’s brother intervened and told the officer that his sister had been hurt.

The hysterical girl got into the squad car and told the police officer her version of events.

The cop called for backup, but when they arrived Lee was nowhere to be found.

He was eventually located in a Range Rover with tinted windows, curled up.

Records show that he had tried to contact several taxis during this period.

The girl was taken to hospital where she was examined by a sexual assault nurse who found she had injuries to her vagina.

She also had scratches almost the entire length of her leg consistent with her story.

Lee has denied first-degree rape, sexual misconduct and third-degree assault and could face 25 years in jail if convicted.
