MIKE Denver is inviting his fans to join him for a special night at the Royal Theatre in Castlebar on Tuesday week, October 31.

The exclusive event in the Co. Mayo venue will feature Mike and a 15-piece Big Band, plus some of Ireland’s greatest entertainers and legends.

Fans of Mike attending the event will have an unforgettable memory as the extravaganza is being recorded for the country music star’s next live DVD.

Among the stars joining Mike in the show is the great Johnny McEvoy, whose hits have included Muirsheen Durkin, Those Brown Eyes and Cliffs of Dooneen.

Mike grew up listening to Johnny’s music in his family home and he is both thrilled and honoured to have this iconic Irish performer singing in his show.

One of the highlights of the night is sure to be a duet of Muirsheen Durkin featuring Mike and Johnny.

Another great section of the show will be the guest appearance of Ray Lynam, who is without doubt one of the greatest country stars Ireland has ever produced.

Hugely popular with thousands of fans, Ray and The Hillbillies packed ballrooms the length and breadth of the country in their heyday. They were managed by Sean Reilly, the man who guided me on every step of my own journey in music.

At the height of his success, Ray teamed up with our country music queen Philomena Begley for their big hit My Elusive Dreams. Philomena is also one of the stars of Mike Denver’s big concert.

The ever-popular John Hogan, whose hits include Brown Eyes and Stepping Stone, will no doubt captivate the audience on the night.

And the multi-talented Marc Roberts will perform his lovely mix of original songs and John Denver hits.

Mike’s latest hit is the Phil Coulter classic, Scorn Not His Simplicity, and it’s one of the gems he’ll be singing live on what promises to be a magical night in Castlebar.
