At least Patricia dyed her own hair blonde, but I'm pretty sure several of the other contestants wore weaves on the day of the competition. I can't help but think that she was picked on because she's a dark girl with ambition; if Patricia had been light-skinned with long blonde extentions a lá Beyoncé, the organisers wouldn't have batted an eyelid. Apparently, she rallied her friends around to support her, but I can confirm that while I did support her decision to change her hair colour, Patricia NEVER asked me to post any comments on Facebook, so there you go. If the organisers think that posing for professional photos while dressed in Spandex is nudity, they obviously haven't seen the image-conscious Miss Universe where girls strut in skimpy bikinis. Telling her to stop modeling is just plain stupid - even in her homeland, Miss Nigeria winners receive a modeling contract with Beth Models as part of their prize, I know that for a fact. The organisers later insulted Patricia's parents but still had the nerve to accuse her of disrespecting Nigerian culture - have they also forgotten that African culture teaches us to always respect our elders? Finally, Peter Oghina should learn from Emma Waldron who continued to model while she was Miss Ireland. Even her boyfriend didn't have a problem with it, and surprise surprise, he's Nigerian!
yep, the double standard or female private running while the feminists cry misogyny and contradict themselves and lie/grossly misrepresent the slane incidents, is quite clear biased towards women.
Seriously, who edits this rubbish? This makes no grammatical sense:
\"It’s horrible to have to say that, as I value all life – heck I don’t kill but repatriate flies and spiders from my home – but if a difficult choice had to be made between a living, breathing woman and an unborn child, well there’s no contest.\"
My eyes are bleeding. Figuratively, of course. Give somebody a job.
