Cocaine worth €1.75m discovered in Cork

Customs officers have discovered €1.75m worth of cocaine at Cork Port, it has been revealed.

A total of 25kg of the drug was found last Friday during a routine examination of a boat docked there.

The containers were being unloaded from a vessel which had recently arrived from Central America.

Officer from Revenue Customs Service have made contact with the gardai and investigations are continuing.
