Chaos on M50 as number of collisions cause major backlogs
Two collisions on the motorway this morning are bringing misery to early morning commuters.
A collision on North Circular Road is causing delays in both directions:

There are also still traffic issues on the M50, which is one the causes of the wicked traffic in Dublin city this morning:

Delays through Harold's Cross are also causing commuters serious problems this morning:

The first, at Junction 9 Red Cow, has closed three lanes southbound while emergency services deal with the incident.
And there has now been a second crash, also southbound, at Junction 6.

Meanwhile, a car which was abandoned on the Quays has caused a serious backlog for city centre drivers.
The vehicle has now been moved to a bus stop on Eden Quay but there are knock on delays for motorists.
And a spokesperson for Irish Rail has also reported that the Bray to Connolly dart has been cancelled due to a mechanical fault.
