BREAKING: Body found in Dublin canal
The body of a man believed to be in his 30s or 40s has been discovered in the Grand Canal near the Charlemont Luas stop on the southside of Dublin city this morning.
The grim discovery was made just after 5am this morning.
The scene this morning is preserved pending a full examination.
Gardaí have cordoned off parts of the Grand Canal but nearby roads and cycle lanes remain open.
It is understood the man’s death is not believed to be suspicious.
A postmortem is due to be carried out on the body shortly.
