A new picture of Berkeley survivor Clodagh Cogley has been posted online, showing her smiling bravely in hospital.

Cogley was very seriously injured in the balcony collapse that claimed the lives of six Irish students.

The 21-year-old from Dublin suffered two collapsed lungs, a broken shoulder, a broken knee, five broken ribs and also broke her spinal cord in the incident and she spoke last week about her fears that she may never walk again.

However, that same post was also filled with a postive message of how she wants to live her life now to the fullest, in memory of thsoe who died and that upbeat outlook shines through in the new picture, which sees Cogley beaming in hospital.

The image was posted on the Clodagh Cogley Fund Facebook page, which has raised almost €12,500 for her medical expenses.
