Boy (8) seriously injured after being struck by car in Meath
An eight-year-old boy has been seriously injured after being struck by a car in Meath today.
Gardai have confirmed that they are investigating the collision involving a single vehicle that took place at Abbeylands South, Navan at around 3pm today.
The boy, described by gardai as a pedestrian, was seriously injured in the incident.
He has been brought to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.
Diversions are in place near the scene.
