Berkeley victim Olivia Burke makes her final journey home
The body of 21-year-old Olivia Burke, who died tragically in the Berkeley balcony disaster, has arrived home to Ireland.
The Aer Lingus flight carrying Ms Burke and her family members arrived to Dublin airport this morning.
Olivia was escorted by police over the Golden Gate Bridge on her final journey from the mortuary near Sonoma where her funeral was held on Saturday morning.
Her heartbroken family, dad Paul, mum Paula and brother Gavin were joined by Philip Grant, the Consul General of Ireland for the Western US and Jacqueline Keelan, Consular Officer, as they were driven by bus from the area.
A joint funeral was held for Olivia and her cousin, 22-year-old Ashley Donohoe who also died in the tragedy, at the St Joseph's Catholic Church in Cotati, California.
On Saturday night the caskets of Niccolai Schuster, Eimear Walsh, Lorcán Miller and Eoghan Culligan, all aged 21 and from south Dublin, left San Francisco for their final journey home.
