A gunman opened fire at a member of the Hutch family on Dublin’s northside this afternoon.

The gunman fired several shots at a house in Drumalee Park off the North Circular Road at 5.25pm.

The intended target was close to Gareth Hutch who was shot dead in a killing linked to the Kinahan-Hutch feud earlier this year.

It is understood a number of bullets hit a home in the area but no one was struck by the bullets.

A car which may have been used by the gunman was found burnt out in the area shortly afterwards.

A large number of gardai including armed units have been deployed to the area and investigations are ongoing.

The target of today’s incident is also linked to Jonathan Hutch who was the target of a shooting in Majorca which claimed the life of innocent council worker Trevor O’Neill, whose funeral mass took place this week.

The feud has claimed 10 lives since the murder of Gary Hutch in Spain last year.
