14-year-old girl dies after collapsing during GAA match in Wexford

A 14-year-old girl has died after collapsing while playing a GAA match in Wexford.

RTE are reporting that a 14-year-old named Ciara Ryan was playing a match for Kilanerin GAA when she became unwell and fainted.

It is being reported that she died of a suspected brain haemorrhage.

A paramedic, who was watching the game, attended to the teenager at the scene and delivered first aid.

The youngster was brought to Wexford General Hospital where she was sadly pronounced dead.
