One of these special ladies will win a fantasic cruise
Is your mum the best in the world?
Meet our fab four marvellous mammies who have been shortlisted in our D’Mammy of the Year competition.
A few weeks ago, to celebrate the institution that is the Irish mammy, we teamed up with the Mooney Show, American Holidays and Royal Caribbean International, to bring you D’Mammy of the Year 2014.
The prize is an amazing seven-night Caribbean Cruise for two people with Royal Caribbean International and American Holidays, including return flights and taxes.
Over the last few weeks we have been inundated with thousands of votes. And it all goes to prove we all love our mammies.
So let us introduce you to our four mammies.
Super mam Eileen Teeling, from Ballyfermot, Dublin, was nominated by her daughter Eileen Clarke. Eileen thinks her mum should win because she has overcome a lot throughout the years, and reckons it’s about time her mother puts herself first for once.
Our second fab mum is Eleanor McCormack, from Limerick, who was nominated by Aimee McCormack. Aimee tells us her mum is her best friend, her rock, the BEST mother ever.
Next up in the running we have Sandra Fitzgerald, from Drimnagh, Dublin, nominated by her proud son Wayne Fitzgerald. Wayne explains that his mum does everything for all the family, including cooking, shopping, cleaning and playing counsellor to the whole clan. She is amazing!!
Finally, we have marvellous mammy Breda Kinsella, from Tallaght, Dublin, nominated by her daughter Morgan Kinsella. Proud Morgan tells us her mum really deserves to win because she is so caring, loving and giving to everyone.
So there we have it folks, the final fab four.
Tomorrow, the person who nominated these fab ladies will be interviewed on the Mooney show on RTE Radio 1. This will give them all one last chance to convince you who to vote for their Mammy. So make sure you tune in!
