X Factor's 4th Impact: Boys and booze are no-gos!

The X Factor girlband 4th Impact, formerly known as 4th Power, are supervised by their mother on every date.

The sisters - Almira, 27, Irene, 25, Mylene, 23, and Celena, 19 - hail from the Philippines and have made it through to the six-chair challenge on the British version of the show.

With strict Catholic parents, the talented girls have promised their family they won't go near boys while they compete on the ITV programme.

“We have never kissed boys before," Irene explained to Britain's The Mirror newspaper. "It is very strict in the Philippines, and so different to the UK. Our mum is very strict.

“I’m the only one who has ever had a boyfriend and we make sure Mum is there at all times. We are never on our own together.”

It's looking good for 4th Impact right now, a band that's already won three global singing contests in the past. But even if they triumph on The X Factor, they won't be celebrating with a wild party.

“We are from a very Catholic, conservative country and we don’t drink alcohol. The other contestants can’t believe we’ve never even tried alcohol, not even a sip," Irene continued.

And it's not just the lure of booze if they keep working their way up the competition. Making it to the live shows would mean shacking up in a house with other contestants - some of which are, of course, boys.

“Our mum is so worried about us living in a contestant house with boys, but we’ve promised to be well behaved. Mum says, ‘Just focus on your performance and no boys, please’," Almira laughed.

“Some boys are good looking here, but we can’t pay attention to them.

“We just want to think about winning, because we would love to live in London full time.

“If there are parties, then we will just drink soft drinks.”
