Vicky Pattison's £1million payday

Reality star Vicky Pattison has earned her first £1 million.

The 28-year-old first shot to fame on MTV series Geordie Shore. Since then, she has appeared on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, written an autobiography and two novels, landed her own MTV show Judge Geordie and a job as a panellist on Loose Women. And after shedding the pounds, the former yo-yo dieter released a fitness DVD and her own range of nutritional supplements, Mini V.

Despite her earnings, Vicky is determined not to fritter her money away, and is seeking advice on how to best invest it.

"I’ve just about hit the seven-figure mark for the first time," Vicky told the Daily Mirror newspaper. "But I’m being wise with my money. I’ve been very well advised and I’m turning myself into a bit of a property tycoon.

"I recently bought a house in Newcastle and I’ve just had an offer accepted on a property in Essex, so I’m very happy. But I’m also being careful. Some people fritter their money away but I’m not like that."

While some of her fellow TV stars choose to spend their cash on designer clothes and accessories, Vicky prefers to stay grounded. She won't even splash out on a new motor.

"I’m being responsible," she said. "No flash cars and designer handbags for me. I’d rather have a gin and tonic and a Domino’s pizza."

Vicky became loved during her time in the Australian jungle thanks to her sharp sense of humour and sense of empathy. Her Newcastle accent is also one of her defining features, and one she's certainly not going to change anytime soon.

"My accent has done me very well so far, so I’m definitely in no rush to get rid of it," she added.

Meanwhile, The Only Way Is Essex producers are rumoured to be lining Vicky up for an appearance in the show after her shrewd property investment.
