Vicky Pattison felt 'inadequate' discussing hard-hitting topics on Loose Women
Vicky Pattison has admitted she felt "inadequate" participating in some of Loose Women's more hard-hitting debates.
The former Geordie Shore star joined the talk show in January 2016 hot on the heels of her win on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! but she was dropped in September after only nine months, with conflicting reports suggesting she was fired due to her partying ways, while others claimed she left of her own accord because she felt she was too young for the show, which is aimed at a more mature audience.
And now, speaking about leaving the programme during a chat with Bella magazine, Vicky has revealed her lack of knowledge on certain topics prompted her to step away from the ITV lunchtime show.
"Being offered the show was a huge achievement," she said. "Everyone's so lovely, so professional, with a wealth of experience. It just highlighted my lack of experience and naivety.... I found myself coming up short quite a lot."
The subjects Vicky felt "inadequate" discussing included "marriage, divorce, hardcore feminism, kids". However, Vicky hasn't ruled out returning to the programme if she was invited back in the future.
"I want to give it 110 per cent. I'd love to go back, but at the moment, I'm happy as it is," she smiled.
And Vicky would definitely have more to contribute on the subject of relationships if she was to return, given the news that she's engaged to wed her businessman boyfriend John Noble.
While the news may have come as a surprise to some, as it came after a whirlwind romance, Vicky insists she had no hesitation about accepting John's proposal.
"It might seem soon to some people, but John and I have spent years struggling to find true love," she mused. "Now we've found it, there's no point in waiting around."
