TV3 announce Gogglebox, and a big name soccer pundit, for Autumn schedule
TV3 announced their new schedule today and they are promising a whole host of new, and mainly home produced, shows.
The biggest new show announced was the long awaited irish version of the wildly popular Channel 4 show Gogglebox.
We don't have much details on who will be on the programme bar this blurb from TV3.
Tune in to Mary reviewing last week’s Bake Off, Paddy critique the dress sense of the Xpose girls and Mick wax lyrical on the state of play in the latest episode of Celebrity Big Brother! Gogglebox brings you from your sitting room into the siting room of our observing families and friends, who say things that will shock us, make us laugh and more often than not, say things we are all thinking!
There will be 12 one hour episodes once it hits our screens.
Sport also features heavily, dominated by the upcoming Rugby World Cup, and with Champions League coverage now only on BT across the water, even more should be tuning into TV3 on Tuesday nights. The big news there is that former RTE and current Sky pundit Graeme Souness will be joining their team, while Kevin Kilbane will partner David McIntyre in the commentary box.
TV3 will continue to have a lot of big name imports, such as X Factor, Celebrity Big Brother and Take Me Out but they will also have some interesting productions of their own, with 55 per cent of their output now home produced.
Among the eye-catching shows on offer include a four-part documentary about Mountjoy called The Joy, a three-part programme called Vincent Browne Investigates: Gerry Adams and a new interview series by the hosts of Newstalk's Off The Ball that will see Roy Keane, Jim McGuinness and Padraig Harrington get a grilling.
