Swift's Bake Off bingeing

Taylor Swift is allegedly bonkers for The Great British Bake Off.

Since its launch in 2010, GBBO has had the nation obsessed with soggy bottoms and lovely buns; something which has apparently even reached the A-list.

Taylor, who dates Scottish DJ Calvin Harris, is reportedly such a fan of the baking show, she even gets her team to record every show.

"She’s obsessed. After recently binge-watching the last series she’s now loving the current one, especially queen judge Mary Berry," a source told British newspaper The Sun.

“GBBO’s giving her new ideas for recipes in the kitchen which she’s already been trying out.”

Mary is joined by silver fox Paul Hollywood and double act hosts Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins.

It returned to TV screens last week for its sixth season, pitting 12 amateur bakers against each other, each trying to win the title of star baker every week.

It's not just Taylor who's keeping up with the cooks' antics - she's also got pal Lorde on board too.

"Taylor and Lorde chat about the show on the phone, then compare and contrast their own attempts," the source continued.

“Both fancy themselves as potential star bakers.”

This week saw the remaining 11 contestants tackle biscuit week, with mixed results. Last week's star baker Marie Campbell ended up getting the boot after her biscuit box failed to wow. She had been bookies favourite to win, so her exit came as a shock.

But it was the show's youngest contestant Flora Shedden, 19, who really took the biscuit. She whipped fans into a frenzy when admitting to owning over 100 cookbooks, the majority of which are French, with viewers taking to Twitter to poke fun at her middle class credentials.
