Strictly Come Dancing champion Ore Oduba to become a father
Strictly Come Dancing winner Ore Oduba and his wife Portia are expecting their first child.
The 31-year-old presenter announced the news on his Instagram page on Thursday (03Aug17), sharing a snap of his spouse baring her tiny baby bump in a grey jumpsuit.
Alongside the picture, which also featured him pulling a shocked expression in the forefront, Ore wrote, "Not sure what I did to deserve this one. My best friend, the most amazing wife and soon to be the most amazing mum.
"Been a pretty life-changing last 12 months. Now @portiajett and I are preparing for our biggest adventure yet! Can't hide our excitement anymore...
"Starting a family has always been our dream. And no prizes for guessing.. THERE. WILL. BE. TEARS!!!! #babynews #pregnancyannouncement #tinydancer."
Portia then shared a similar photo in which she cradled her burgeoning stomach, captioning it, "Baby Oduba... We already love you so much."
During an appearance on ITV's Lorraine back in March, Ore acted somewhat defensively when host Lorraine Kelly asked him when he and Portia were "going to have babies".
"Are you going to get on my back with the babies as well as my mum and dad?" he laughed. "Give us a break! Give us a chance! We haven’t got the time! Last year, we spent about a day together!"
Olympic swimmer Rebecca Adlington was among the first to congratulate Ore and Portia, writing on Twitter, "Huge congratulations to you both! Woop!" Meanwhile, Radio 2 DJ Sara Cox tweeted the couple, "Gorgeous news!!! Xxxxx"
BBC Sport presenter Ore married TV researcher Portia in November 2015. He is the reigning Strictly Come Dancing champion, but will have to give up the glitterball trophy when the new series of the BBC talent show kicks off later this year.
