SiCo: Crash helmets for his precious pups
Simon Cowell is getting tiny crash helmets made for his beloved dogs.
The music mogul often posts about his pups Squiddly and Diddly on social media and happily poses for pictures with them when out and about.
Following a recent spate of seagulls attacking pets in Britain, Simon has decided to take action.
"There is a seagull problem in this country right now. Seagulls are actually attacking animals. They are coming inland at the moment," Simon told the crowds at the London X Factor auditions.
“I am getting a crash helmet designed for my dogs.”
He then asked a contestant if they'd thought about seagulls attacking their cat.
His mind hasn't wandered too far from work though, and while on the hunt for a new British star, Simon has been thinking about an X Factor alumni.
The show launched the career of Leona Lewis in 2006 and she went on to enjoy global success. Things weren't always rosy for the singer though, and she parted ways with Simon's Syco record label last year. Leona has gone on to pen tracks about her mistreatment at the label, but Simon holds no grudges.
“She was being wound up. That just wasn’t her. And I think she now understands that once you say something, it kind of creates your own momentum, but probably not in the right way," Simon told British newspaper The Sun.
"I have a real soft spot for Leona for so many reasons. I’d say to her, and I genuinely mean this, that the door will always be left open. Any time she ever thought, ‘I want to come back to Syco,’ I’d welcome her with open arms."
