Peter Andre 'buzzing' after first Strictly Come Dancing performance
Peter Andre is "buzzing" after his first performance on 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The 'Mysterious Girl' hitmaker won over the judges on Saturday (26.09.15) after dancing the Cha Cha with professional partner Janette Manrana and is thrilled the dance saw him go straight to the top of the leader board.
Speaking at the Pride of Britain Awards at London's Grosvenor House Hotel, he gushed: "Oh yeah, I'm so buzzing about what happened. But this is a new week and I'm under no illusion that it could all change. It's a completely different dance - it's ballroom. So I might not quite be there this week but I'm so happy with where I was. Oh man, I was so focused."
The 42-year-old singer also confessed his wife Emily McDonagh has put him under strict orders to make sure he's eating properly.
He said: "She is telling me to eat loads. You can't help but shrink because you just dance, dance, dance. I'm not complaining. I feel alright."
Meanwhile, Emily, 26, is thrilled to see Peter's moves at the live shows.
She said: "It's good fun! It's really good to see him being so good at something that he loves."
The brunette beauty added that between her studies and her husband's training they still find time for each other.
She said: "We're actually spending a lot of time together."
The Daily Mirror's Pride of Britain Awards air Thursday (01.09.15) at 8pm on ITV.
