Marissa Jade: 'Sarah Harding has been down and out on CBB'

Sarah Harding has been "down and out" on Celebrity Big Brother, according to former housemate Marissa Jade.

The former Girls Aloud star is one of the famous faces competing on the latest series of the Channel 5 reality show, but has been sparking concern with her often unusual behaviour, including biting housemate Amelia Lily on the leg.

It has been reported that doctors and mental health experts are keeping a close eye on Sarah, who has previously battled alcoholism and addiction to painkillers, and now the show's first evictee has opened up about just how the singer is coping inside the compound.

Mob Wives star Marissa, who was voted out of the house on Tuesday night (08Aug17), told The Sun: "Sarah is a great girl. From an outsider's point of view, she was very down and out every day.

"I guess it can be portrayed as negative - she stuck to herself, she was complaining she wasn't feeling well. I believe she opened up in that manner because she believed she can trust who she was opening up to.”

Sarah also caused concern among viewers with a tearful display in the Diary Room after Paul Danan nominated her for eviction, citing being worried about her mental health.

Since then, Sarah has been offered daily sessions with psychiatrists in the house, as well as being given some space away from the other housemates when she needs it.

"Sarah is not in a great state. She’s not coping with the pressure and she’s paranoid about what everyone thinks of her," a source told The Sun. "She’s been spending time talking to the professional team and is being given time away from the other housemates.

"She is finding it tough living with so many other people because she usually lives alone. No one wants her to walk out so it’s about trying to get her through these difficult times. There are real concerns, they don’t want to push her too far."
